On a good day, we create and capture visually appealing, dynamic glimpses of something meaningful. On our best days we surprise ourselves.

We begin with an idea that is crafted, but becomes reality because of the particiants, the situation, the moment, or maybe the song that had just been played. If we do our job well, we foster the opportunity for wonderful accidents.

In a perfect situation, there is no awareness that the viewer is looking at a photograph. Rather there is simply an emotional connection, a memory, a desire, a wish.

Personally, I want to create something the viewer will decide they can revisit again and again. The emotional pull will remain in spite of time or what you first saw. I am not sure I have ever accomplished this, nor am I sure I will. I think it is something that is extremely rare and very difficult. Yet this is the hope each time we begin a new project.
